Giveaway! (Baby burp cloths)

I am ridiculously late to the party, but I decided to post this anyway. The quarterly Bloggy Giveaway is happening over at, what else, Bloggy Giveaways. :) Head over there to check out the HUNDREDS (not kidding!) of giveaways going on right now!

I'm giving away a custom set of three baby burp cloths. Here are pictures of some of the sets I've made recently.

These beautiful ribbon burp cloths are made from real Chinese pre-fold diapers for extra absorbency. They will be a welcome addition to any mother's nursery. Yours can be similar to those pictured, or I am happy to take specific color/style requests. My limitation is just whatever ribbon is available at JoAnn Fabric. :)

Please leave a thoughtful comment if you'd like to be entered in the giveaway. Tell me why you'd like to win them, or who you're planning to give them to (maybe yourself!) or just a funny baby story. Comments such as "oh cool, enter me!" will not be counted. Please also note that I can only ship within the continental United States.

I'll put all legitimate entries in a hat on Friday evening and my three-year-old will choose one. :) If you aren't the lucky winner, but are interested in buying a set, you can browse and purchase at my Etsy shop, LullabySlings.

I would love more baby burp cloths. I don't have a funny story, but my husband was home with our 3.5 month old and I got a phone call saying that our son pooped on him. It was funny to me.

I am going to keep them for myself-I'm having my second soon and could really use some more burp cloths!! Thanks!

I would give them to my sister-in-law, who is having her first baby (a girl!) in July. I don't have any funny stories yet, though, not being a mom myself. :)

I would love to give these to my niece who is due September 1st. They are really cute! I got some cute burpcloths for my baby girl who is now 5 months old and they were one of my favorite things. Gotta have something cute to clean up the spit-up :)

Lori said...

I would love to have these for myself (maybe I would share with a first time mom friend of mine).
I am having my third baby in July and my babies are notorious for spitting so I need good burp clothes, especially for my husband on whom the spitting usual occurs.
Thanks for doing this-what a neat item to customize!

What a cool giveaway! Thanks so much for offering it! The reason I want to win these is to give them to my sister-in-law who just found out she's having a girl in September. This is her first and my husband's side of the family hasn't had a new baby since my youngest 6 years ago, so we want to "spoil" this new baby when she arrives! The WHOLE family is so excited, anticipating the new little family member!

My brother and SIL are expecting their first in October...and I couldn't be more excited! Since I didn't have any sisters, I'm close to both of them...and let me tell you, their kiddie will be spoiled!

I always wanted some of these. I know of other Moms that have made their own and it works so much better than an ordinary flannel. My son is too old for them now and we haven't been blessed with a second child so I would likely give these to my sister in law who is expecting in August. Thank you for your generous giveaway.

Hi! I am the "anonymous" poster from above- just got a google account! Anyways, I really think these burp clothes are adorable and would love to win them to give to my co-teacher, who is about to have her first baby in Sept. and really needs such things! (Though I am not sure that she knows that she needs them! But she will be so happy to get them if I win!) thanks so much for such a great give away!

funny story... when my hubby and I first got married, he was very squeamish about things. (very!) When our first little girl was about 8 weeks old, he was holding her (just after I had fed her) and he (for some reason still unknown to me) held her up above him to talk to her. She proceeded to spit up.... in his mouth. Needless to say, 2 children later, he is much less grossed out by things!

Absolutely precious. Please include me in your drawing.

I have a friend who is having her first soon. She would love these. (I would love them too - they are soooo beautiful- but I already have some.) It is amazing how a little bit of ribbon can make a diaper into something lovely.

This is so cute. I'd give this to a friend of mine. :)

I have a two month old son I'd use them for. May not mean much to everyone else, but my little guy just started smiling (not because of gas anymore!) and does it all the time. Makes my heart melt.

Ok. I would reserve these for friends of ours who are trying to have a baby. Why? Well, Cary (the father) was playing with Nathan (the hopefully soon-to-be-father) as a baby, holding him up high in the sky while he was lying down. Nathan spit up....into Cary's mouth. If he had only had a burp cloth from lullaby slings...covering his face...he'd have been rescued from that utter disgust.

I'd love to win these to give as a gift to my expectant niece. She's expecting a girl in the middle of May.

Cute! I would actually use them as diapers. We cloth diaper our kiddos and I love putting fun diapers on them even though I know they are going to get pooped in and no one but me gets to see how cute the diaper is.

Cowen Family said...

I would keep them for myself! I am expecting Ana in 3 weeks and need to get/make a few more burp cloths...homemade are the best!

Linds said...

We recently went to Bevmo for the first time in awhile. Nate got to get a few of his favorite brews. As a result, my husband might be more burpy than normal. I think he'd enjoy a set of your handmade burp cloths. :)

So really - have fun with your giveaway! :)

I have a good friend who is about to have her second, and these would be part of her shower gift (or maybe a 'just because' gift!). I'm sure she has a few BCs from her first child, but they get misplaced, dirty, etc and I think second babies should be celebrated too and have a few nice, new things of their own. :)

Happy carnivaling!

These look wonderful. I sometimes assemble baby items together for foster parents who have received an infant, or for mother's in need through our church. I would love to be entered in your giveaway. If I win, I will try my best to pass them on to someone who will appreciate them.

those are so cute! i would give them to my sister. her 2 month old spits up A LOT and she could definitely use them...and how fun that they are cute and not plain!

If I were to win these, I would donate them to our church nursery. I work in there often, and a lot of Mom's who are running out the door on Sunday mornings, don't always have everything they need, and Burp Cloths are an item we don't have on our shelves. Thanks for the chance.

Those are so cute. I have been trying to make some, but I am new to sewing so mine do NOT look like that! I am about to have my third child (a sweet little boy) in a few months and would love to have those.

A very sweet friend of mine is having a baby girl in July. Her baby was diagnosed a month ago with a heart condition and I hurt so bad for her. I want these to give her. My little boy had the same heart condition while I was pregnant (he is 9 months now) and he is totally cured and healthy now! She needs some encouragement during these longs days of waiting!!!

Thanks!

I have a friend who is due in August. When I asked her what baby stuff they had purchased so far, her response was "a onesie." Apparently they are having a little trouble paying their bills, let alone by baby stuff. So, I'm entering all of the baby contests for them... and they are who I would send these to!

Granola said...

You can never have too many burp clothes! We're expecting our third babe in a few months and I've got some nesting going on. I want to get everything "ready" before I don't feel like moving in the summer heat. Your work is very lovely! Thank you.

I could definitely use these cute burp cloths for my daughter. The ones you made are so cute!

Well, a friend of mine just had a baby on Tuesday and I know people who are due every month of this year, so I've got a number of people I could give these to as gifts. Thanks!

I don't know what I'm having so if I won, I guess green or yellow would be a good ribbon color. Thanks for the giveaway!

Well, my third little "lamb" (four months old in a few days) is a MAJOR one for spitting up, and I just do a ton of laundry it seems. So, I certainly could use some more burp cloths to clean her up! My favorite colors for her are lavender and rose.

I've tried to make these before and they never look as nice as the ones other people make. These would be for a good friend of mine who is due any day now. It's her fourth and I want to give her some nice things. 4th babies deserve new things too.

Just when I thought my burp cloth days were coming to an end, my baby has started barfing again. Last night he waited until we were eating dinner in the church fellowship hall.

I'm a stay at home mom to a 2 month old boy. I stay home and take care of him while his dad's gone for 9 hours a day, 5 days a week. He's spit up on my maybe 5 times since he was born. Tell me why, when he never spits up on me, his dad is always yelling "Get me a napkin!" "He's spitting up!" "HELP!" Little guy must have a real love for his dad. His father would really appreciate if I won these!

I will use them, but it's almost a shame to because they are so pretty!!

I'd keep them for myself. We're still dealing with my youngest soy, milk and egg allergies as well as bad reflux at almost 8 months. The burp cloths would make dealing with spit up a little prettier.

My little man would love those!! And, we would put them to A LOT of good use! ;-)

I love these kind of burp rags rather than the cheap kind found in stores. I have a new miracle baby due in Sept. and we would really love these.

These are so pretty. I would love to win because my new grandson uses a lot of these. We are just using regular old dishtowels, it would be nice to have something pretty.

My Dad was not making Olivia's baby bottle fast enough. And my 5 month old was crying her little heart out. Cause Grandpa never makes her wait for anything. So he is finally done making the bottle. She is so mad she will not even let him look at her with out crying. So he has to sit there and feed her, while not looking at her just so she won't cry. Everyone laughed there butts off!
