RIP corolla

It is official. Our little corolla that was going to carry us around forever has been declared a total loss. Final mileage: 219,955. I guess that's a pretty good life for a car, but I'm still sad because she was in such good shape and I supposed I thought she'd last forever. Besides, I liked her. :)

Goodbye, little girl. You were a sweet car.

Toyotas are such great cars. All the ones we have had, even as kids for both of us Toyota-raised kids, either hit well over the 200k mark or were taken out by accident:(
Will you be getting another vehicle?

SAD! We have one that that's going to happen with one of these days, but our baby's a Honda ;)

Scary- my car looks exactly like yours! Only 110K right now though. Are you down to one car then?

Oh no! That's really too bad. And now you are in the unenviable position of trying to figure out what to do next. It is hard to replace a car like that - the value of it is far more than the blue book would ever say!

Yes, we're down to one car (well, we will be next Tuesday when we have to give back the rental.

At this point we're planning to just be a one car family for awhile. Gabe will probably work from home one day a week (so I can take the kids to the park for mom's group) and we'll try to get all our errands done on weekends or evenings. Certainly not ideal, but lots of people do it (we did, way back when!) and I'm sure it can be done. :)
