One nice thing about days when Jonathan doesn't feel well is that he gets much more snuggly. I love it when he lifts his arms to be picked up, and then lays his head down on my shoulder - all is right with his world when he's in my arms, even when his mouth hurts. How I love him.

Aw, the power of the human touch is astounding, and somehow Mommies get a superpower quota of that healing touch. It's wonderful, isn't it?
Hope he's feeling better soon. And you, too! What's with this getting sick stuff? Pffft.

Martha, the 15-month-old I babysit, is snuggliest when she first wakes up from her nap. When I hear her crying, I get to go in and be her rescuer, who scoops her up out of the crib and hugs her. She stays sleepy for a bit, and sometimes I get a good 20-30 minutes of snuggle time, where she just wraps her little arms around my neck, rests her head on my shoulder, and snuffles against my shirt. It's the cutest. I love her waking-up time.
