There is nothing like a sun-warmed ripe strawberry. From garden to taste buds in twenty seconds. Mmm.

Yes! I know what you mean. In the Northwest, there's nothing like a sun-warmed blackberry. They ripen in August and when our walks are in the vicinity of berry bushes, it smells like blackberry pie :)
I sure wish I knew what is eating all our strawberries though - we haven't had a ripe one for weeks. And I am unfortunately too busy w/ the house to do anything more than water. Oh well, hopefully they'll live and I'll be able to give them more attention next year!

Mmmmmmm mmmmmmm I totally agree. I grew up in Missouri and my dad grew tons and tons of strawberries. Brings back memories...
