St. Nicholas' Eve
Tomorrow is St. Nicholas' Day. This evening we read a short poem about St. Nicholas to Jonathan before bedtime. Then we carefully set up his shoes outside his bedroom door and stuck a carrot in one (for St. Nicholas' reindeer - technically the tradition says "horse" but we're trying not to be TOO confusing and Jonathan already is excited about reindeer!) And Jonathan went to bed excited about the morning when he gets to look in his shoes for surprises from St. Nicholas.
Now I'm off to be St. Nicholas and find some chocolate coins to fill up those shoes. :)

oops... Maybe I should return Jonathan's Christmas Present. It's a book called "10 Lies Parents tell their Children" and on page 4, the heading is "Saint Nick's Horse* Eats Carrots"
*some parents substitute reindeer
...Is this a problem?
Hi Emily,
Thank you for stopping by my blog. I enjoyed hearing from you.
If you're ever up for it, I invite you to join us at Hannah's Prayer. There is a community specifically for secondary infertility. I don't know what it's like to be in your shoes, but I really love this community--it's been so nice to be in a "world" with people who "get it." I don't have to explain anything and no one thinks I'm weird. That's been of such huge comfort to me. And it's a solidly Biblical ministry and most (if not all?) of the members are Christians.
Anyway, thanks for checking in. I hope you'll visit again.
Oh, and according to facebook, we're movie soulmates ;)
Take care,
Jen
PS: If you click my profile it doesn't link to my infertility blog since so many strangers read that blog.
How could you lie to your own son like that Emily!
I can't belive my own sister.
What did Jonathan think the next morning? :)
Love you!
Christopher
