New look

I think I like it, although without the glasses I suddenly realized that I don't look twenty anymore. :)

LASIK recovery was not as easy for me as it apparently is for most people.  Also, the surgery itself reminded me very much of scary science fiction.  My husband may or may not have given me that idea ahead of time by mentioning a certain scene in Minority Report.

Two weeks post-surgery I am happy with the results.  (Not enough to do it again, though!)

Lucky you! My husband has been wanting lasik for ever :) It's just so expensive! Maybe when we pay off our student loans (ha ha ha)

You look gorgeous!

Remember when you were in your twenties, people always thought you looked younger? When you were teaching, parents mistook you a student! So, now you finally look like you're in your twenties! Congrats!

You look great! What a change though!! How long did it take you to stop looking for your glasses when you woke up? :-)

I watched my mom go through the surgery about 6 or 7 years ago and vowed I would never do it myself. But not wearing glasses anymore does have appeal...

I can see your boy's faces in your face better now, especially Jonathan.

I hope that you feel better soon :) Lasik at least sounds better than the older alternatives. My mom had 20x500 vision growing up, and got the lens scraping kind of eye surgery in her 30's. It was scary and painful.

YAY! The hubby and I both got PRK (similar procedure). YES--TERRIFYING! I was so not expecting it to be as scary as it was. So happy that you love the results, though! :)

Wow Emily! You look incredible! I think you look younger without the glass personally... I'm so proud of both of my gorgeous sisters! :)

Love you!
