My two older boys have independently chosen and paid for birthday gifts for Josiah's upcoming celebration day. Jonathan found a lego detective minifigure on ebay, and Thomas (prompted by the "Frances" stories) chose a candy bar. Both gifts are safely stashed on a very high shelf and there is much "shhhushing" and speaking of "
secrets". It is great fun to be in on such a secret! I'm so proud of both of them.
